Training for Staff

From 15th to 21st January the Italian partner Urban Center coordinated, organised and hosted 11 participants for the training on youth urban regeneration in the town of Capoterra in the hinterland of Cagliari (IT).

The training was a successful educational activity for the staff members of partner organisations with different methods and approaches on urban regeneration, youth engagement and participatory urban planning.

During the training participants took also part at three laboratories in the city of Cagliari:

The first was a Participatory urban planning laboratory with the regional institution of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. The occasion was not just a kind of simulation workshop but it was based on a real urban regeneration project that the city is going to implement soon and the ideas generated by the participants will be considered in the actual project.

The second laboratory was an urban exploration in one of the poorest and decadent parts of the city of Cagliari, the quarter Sant´Elia where different regeneration projects never took place after many promises. Participants
